“Grand Prix V.I.E" - Interview of Laura BLANDEAU - LAITA PGC

You are the winner of the VIE Grand Prix in the “SME's” category - could you tell us more about your company and your role as a VIE?

I work for the French dairy cooperative Laïta, and more specifically for the emblematic Paysan Breton brand. After a two-year work-study program at the head office in Brest, I moved to Dubai in February 2023 as a Business Developer. My role is to support our retail and food service (cafés, hotels, restaurants) distributors in developing the brand through sales and marketing missions in the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Why apply for the Grand Prix VIE ?

I was keen to highlight the work accomplished by Laïta's teams in the region over the past two years. This Grand Prix was a great opportunity to share the successes we've achieved, as well as the challenges we have to meet to make a French SME shine on the international stage. Finally, for me, taking part in this competition was the perfect way to round off this two-year mission, which has had a major impact on both my professional and personal life.

What's next for you?

I've signed a fixed-term contract with Laïta, before moving on to new adventures in a few months' time.
