Sophia is the Head of Tax for Mazars UAE. She has over 15 years’ international tax experience advising and assisting companies from public corporations to family-owned entities gained both in Luxembourg and Dubai "BIG 4 practices" and "Major Law firms“ such as Ernst & Young and Baker McKenzie.

She has advised major UAE based companies  (including construction, reinsurance, financial services and telecommunication companies) on the VAT implication of their UAE operations, including VAT implementation readiness, review of company's business and transactions to identify VAT implications and optimisation opportunities. Sophia is also accredited with the UAE Ministry of legal affaires to provide tax training to lawyers in Dubai.
