With an extensive experience of 15 years in the Defense & Aerospace industry, Mehdi joined Safran in 2016 as Middle East Regional Director in charge of the Helicopter Engines - Support Division. In 2022, he was appointed General Manager of Safran Middle East and Safran Group General Delegate in UAE (Abu Dhabi). Previously, Mehdi held various Senior occupations in France at Thales Defense & Security, Avisa Partners, and also in Qatar as Chief Operating Office at ITQAN Technologies. Mehdi took a leap in his career as an entrepreneur in 2007 by founding Keawell Associates - a Consulting Firm.

Mehdi Bouchenak holds a Master Degree In Economics (Paris Dauphine University PSL), and a Master Degree in Defense & Industrial Dynamics (Paris Pantheon-Assas University). In 2007, he enrolled a PhD Research Fellow Program at National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Economic Science. Mehdi is also graduated in Negotiation Strategies from Yale School of Management, Innovation from INSEAD and in Decision-Making from The London School of Economics & Political Science.
