Dr. Herve MAJIDIERChief Operating Officer - Majid Al Futtaim Retail/ Carrefour

Dr. Majidier is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Majid Al Futtaim Retail/ Carrefour. Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania. 
 
Carrefour  is  one  of  the  largest  Hypermarket  and  Supermarket  chains  in  the  world.  The  brand  was launched in the region in 1995 by Majid Al Futtaim, which is the exclusive franchisee to operate Carrefour in 37 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.  
 
Previously, Dr. Majidier held the positions of Chief Operating Officer for Egypt, KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman & Bahrain (2014-2019), Executive Regional Director (2012- 2014); Country Head of Carrefour Egypt (2003-2012); Vice President - Operations of Carrefour GCC (2000 – 2003); and General Manager of Carrefour Abu Dhabi (1997 – 2000). Prior to Carrefour he served as General Manager of E. Leclerc Hypermarkets France (1992-1997).  
 
Dr. Majidier is also the General Secretary of Egypt Commercial Advisors, Board Member of the French University of Egypt & Board Member of the Egypt Food Export Council. 
  
He is also the Co-president of the French Chamber of Commerce in Egypt since 2009. Was also nominated by  the  Minister  of  Supply  to  the  Board  of Trustees  of  the  Arab  Institute  for  Trade  and  Commodities Exchange by a ministerial Decree.  
 
Dr. Majidier holds an MBA in Management and Administration  (1985), followed by Ph.D.  (1987), both from the Aix-Marseille University.  
 
He is fluent in French, English, Turkish, and Persian languages.
