2019-20RS001 - Sales Manager, Solar Rooftop Solutions

You have the opportunity to join a start-up company taking up the challenge of solar energy and to contribute to our objective of offering responsible energy produced, distributed and consumed in the UAE. We are looking for talented, committed and passionate sales managers to join our team. This is a position in which you will report to the partners of the company and you will be working in close cooperation with the team of our energy partner.

Making energy better is a key objective for the UAE, with the implementation of the SHAMS Dubai Initiative, where the goals are to install Solar Panels on every roof in Dubai by 2030 and achieve 75% clean energy generation by 2050. Aligned with these objectives, our client is a newly set company based in Dubai, UAE, which provides external sales support to a leading energy player in the field of renewable energies. The business model of solar rooftops involves developing, constructing, financing and operating solar systems on the roofs of multi-national corporations and national leaders. The customers pay for the power over 25 years while our partner handles all investment, construction and operation. Our objective is to find customers with the desire to install solar rooftops.

Key Responsibilities:

The Sales Manager will be responsible from the stage of finding business opportunities to install solar rooftop until the stage of converting opportunities into Contracts.
His/Her main responsibilities will be the following:

  • Generation of business leads;
  • Cold-calling to business leads;
  • Regular proactive visits to customer places;
  • Understanding customer’s needs, characteristics and risks;
  • Identifying customers decision makers & processes;
  • Regular presentation to customers;
  • Preparation and submission of business proposals;
  • Negotiation and finalization of rooftop solar projects;
  • Regular interaction with the Energy partner;
  • Participation in industry seminars and brand promotion;
  • Candidate should be flexible for domestic travelling frequently.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with other professionals and to prepare presentations and reports;
  • Be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, as you will be working with several different clients or address several different issues;
  • Capacity to convince people, negotiate contracts;
  • Self-driven, autonomous, with appetite for success;
  • Excellent English;
  • French and/or Arabic is a plus;
  • Experience in the UAE is preferable;
  • Valid UAE driving license is compulsory.

Employment conditions:

The company will provide the employee with full time employment visa and the following salary and employment benefits:

  • Monthly salary package (including housing & transport accommodation)
  • Incentive per contract signed (from 2,000 and 10,000 AED), paid monthly;
  • Yearly bonus, based on company & employee performance;
