Pierre CHEYRON is the Managing Director of ENGIE’s Energy Solutions activities for Africa, Middle East and Asia, based in Dubai. reporting to Frank Lacroix, Executive VP of ENGIE in charge of Energy Solutions (9B€ Revenues across more than 20 countries, 40 000 employees).
Energy Solutions is the world leader in energy efficiency and distributed decarbonization solutions for companies (industrial and commercial) and communities (cities, campuses).
His responsibility cover the full P&L of Energy Solutions activities of ENGIE in the region, covering 8 countries (from Middle East to Asia), employing around 5,000 staff, and managing an installed capacity of more than 4.6GW (mostly in District Cooling and distributed Solar Solutions).
Previously, Pierre was Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer of ENGIE Energy Solutions, covering the worldwide management of Business Development, M&A, Strategy, Innovation (including incubation and investments in startups), Marketing and Communication.
He was until July 2020 the Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE South East Asia (500 M€, 2000 employees), leading one of the fastest growing key business clusters in the Asia Pacific organization towards Zero-Carbon Transition by delivering integrated solutions to its customers.
An experienced business leader, living across many Asian countries for more than a decade, Pierre joined ENGIE in 2011 as CEO of Cofely South East Asia, and then overseeing the P&L of all the Services activities of ENGIE in Asia Pacific from 2015 to 2018. During that period, he grew the business from 20M€ to 500M€, through a series of M&A in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia (9 acquisitions in 5 years).
Prior to ENGIE, Pierre was with Alcatel-Lucent with various general management roles in Asia and Europe.
Pierre served as President of the Malaysian French Chamber of Commerce & Industry from 2011 to 2015 and then as a member of the board of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore until 2020. He is now a board member of ENGIE Germany, Tabreed, ENGIE Spain, ENGIE Portugal and of CCI France International.
He was conferred the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite in 2016. Pierre holds a Master of Engineering from IMT Atlantique, in France.
