Graham Griffiths is HSBC’s head of geopolitical risk and government engagement in MENAT and is an expert in Gulf and regional politics. Prior to joining HSBC, he spent several years with management consultancy McKinsey where he worked in the client service risk function, serving as an internal advisor to the firm’s partners on strategic risk issues facing the organization. Prior to that, he worked for Control Risks, a specialist risk consultancy, where he led the company’s MENA political risk team and was the firm’s principal Saudi Arabia analyst. His educational background is in economics, philosophy, and Middle East politics.
