Appointed on March 1, 2022, Abdeljabbar Ben Salem serves as Senior Vice President of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia Business Unit at RATP Dev (RATP Dev is a subsidiary of the RATP Group, the world's third largest urban transportation operator, with 24,000 employees in 15 countries and over 100 subsidiaries). As a member of the Executive Committee, he oversees and manages RATP Dev's business in the region (RATP Dev designs, operates, and maintains public transit networks of automated metros, bus, tramway, and other transportation modes), playing a crucial role in the activity and development of subsidiaries and joint venture companies in Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, where RATP Dev holds a market-leading position.
With over 20 years of international experience in business and program delivery, Abdeljabbar has worked extensively in B2B and B2G domains, focusing on major infrastructure and transport projects in the Middle East. His transportation career began in 2002 with the RATP Group as an R&D engineer, followed by a significant
tenure at Bombardier, where he held engineering and project management positions in France and the UK. Later, he became Head of Business Development for rail turnkey solutions in the Middle East. Subsequently, Abdeljabbar held key positions at SNC-Lavalin and Atkins in the Middle East, showcasing his expertise in major
projects and program management services.
Abdeljabbar is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He also holds a PhD in engineering from the University of Lorraine in France and an MBA from the Alliance Manchester Business School in the UK.
