Beau Seil coaches a select set of startup founders, executives, and VC fund managers in emerging markets.
Prior to his work as a coach, Beau was a Founding Partner of Patamar Capital, the leading impact-driven VC firm in Southeast Asia. Beau continues to serve as a member of Patamar's Investment Committee, is the former Board Chair of RUMA (acquired by Gojek) and multiple Patamar portfolio companies, and is currently on the board of SwipeRx and Lhoopa.
For over 10 years, while Beau was a full-time partner at Patamar Capital, Beau (i) led the firm’s expansion into new geographic markets, (ii) witnessed the growth and development of the tech and VC ecosystems in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, and the Philippines, and (iii) led investments into eCommerce, agriculture, fintech, job matching and digital health companies. He was also instrumental in integrating a gender-lens across the firm’s operations and investment strategy and launching Southeast Asia’s first gender-lens VC fund.
As a result of his work launching and deploying venture capital funds in emerging Asian markets since 2008, Beau regularly speaks on the development of technology and venture capital ecosystems and the need for impact-driven venture capital to generate inclusive economic growth and uncover sector-defining market opportunities in emerging economies.
Beau is an Eisenhower Fellow and Kauffman Fellow, and holds a JD/MBA-Finance and B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University.
