Cellar Concept X Chateau Laguiole
We are pleased to announce our new collaboration with Château Laguiole.
Château® LAGUIOLE was created in 1993 by Master Sommelier Guy Vialis and was the first true waiter-style Laguiole corkscrew on the market. The local legend says that Napoleon Bonaparte's imperial seal was offered to the Laguiole town, the bee that we can find on the Chateau Laguiole corkscrew as a token of his gratitude for the men's courage during battles.
Let’s enhance your sensation while opening your prestigious wine with a 100% made in France and manufactured by hand Château® LAGUIOLE corkscrew. The Versailles Collection: The historical Collection uses woods recovered from the gardens of the Château de Versailles after the trees were downed by a storm in 1999.
After buying them from auction, Guy Vialis gave back a part of the revenue to help to replant the Versailles Garden. Most of these trees were imported from around the world, to the Château de Versailles during the 18th century, as part of the 1776 Centurial gardens renovation ordered by Louis XVI.
The levers of all the Versailles models are engraved with a Lily flower, emblem of the French Kingdom. The 223 years old Tulipwood tree was in Marie Antoinette’s Petit Trianon gardens. Imported from Virginia, USA and planted between the years 1771-1773.
