ALEC Holdings has published its Sustainability & ESG Report 2023
Key highlights:
- We became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact and report our efforts to enhance the integration of human rights, labour rights, environment and anti-corruption into our business operations.
- We are investing in renewable energy and have a combined solar energy capacity of 3 MWp across our projects, factory, and yard.
- Initiatives across our construction sites to reduce diesel consumption include use of solar-diesel hybrid generators and Battery Energy Storage systems, launched by our related business AJI Rentals.
- Our related business LINQ received a structural system approval from Dubai municipality for the city’s first multi-storey (G+6) modular volumetric building system. LINQ delivered 531 modules, comprising structure, facades, finishes, and MEP, which were produced at our UAE-based factory in 2023.
- We upskilled around 3,000 labourers at our trade skills facility and 31 labourers were promoted to staff.
- Our Community Impact initiatives positively impacted more than 12,300 beneficiaries.
